This made fireamrs much more accurate. Rifling changed the way we used guns. It made long, accurate shots possible. It simply twist the inside of the barrel. This makes the bullet spin as it exits the gun, giving it stability. -

Shot a .303 projectile. Shot at aproxametly 500 rounds per minute. Used a water cooled barrel. The barrel had to be replaced often because of over heating. -

Railgun

Accelerates projectiles to 3500 meters per second. Uses Hundreds of thousands of volts to propel a projectile across a rail. Can be fired from a ship or aircraft over 200 miles. Projective doesn't use an explosive because its speed creates such an impact.
