The musket ball was placed in a container with the right amount of gun powder in it. Most militaries wanted these because it was easier to load and helped them fire more shots. The economic decline is the production of powder bags went down. It is not a part of out business cycle because we were not a country yet. -
Grenades

The English army began using grenades in 1677. These were in demand because they were the first of its kind. There was no economic downfall at the time because it was the only one. This didn't affect our business cycle because we weren't a country yet. -

This was a bayonet atached to the end of the musket. This falls into the business cycle because guns are always in demand because war is always going on. The only down side is that a lot of people died becasue te weapons were becoming more accurate. This was before the US was a country so it isnt a part of our business cycle. -

Longrifle

This gun was more accurate then the British Brown Bess at distances of over 50 yards due to the longer barrel. This made the production of British Brown Bess's go down because it was more accurate. We weren't a country yet so it was not a part of the business cycle. -
Congreve Rocket

These were used in 1807 in Copenhagen but were largely inaccurate and didn't have much range. Back in that time they were in high demand but eventually they made better ones so these were forgoten about. These particular rockets weren't used by the U.S. -
Percussion Cap

The percussion cap replaced the flint lock. When a trigger was pulled a hammer hit a container of fulminate of mercury, which exploded and ignited the gunpowder. We were in the start of a depression at the time. It was the new thing in guns so it was in high demand from militaries. -
Colt Revolvers

Traditionally people fought with swords and pistols but the revolver made the sword obsolete. this was right before the depression of 1837 so this would be a recession. This invention was said to make the sword not as useful so the roduction of those went down. -
