    The Romans came to Britain 2000 years ago and changed the country. They made their mark on Britain, actually, even today, the ruins of Roman buildings, forts, roads, and baths can be found all over Britain.

    In 410, the Romans left England because their homes in Italy were being attacked by fierce tribes and every soldier was needed. During the Dark Ages the Saxons and Vikings came to Britain.
