    First Known Watercraft - the Boat

    The oldest boat recovered, from around 8000 BC, was called the Pesse Canoe, and made from ancient Egyptians. The invention of boats allowed humans to move more freely around in bodies of water.

    The Invention of the Wheel

    The first step into the creation all the automobiles and trains today. They were first built in Mesopotamia, where they were first used as a potter wheel.

    The First Ship

    Around 3000 BC, Egyptians learned how to make the first ships in history, to explore the much larger world they knew.

    By using animals such as horses, donkeys, and camels, humans were able move to other countries and move goods.

    The Chariot

    The chariot, invented in somewhere within Egypt at the time of 2000. This could be the first "car" that lead to the next generation of vehicles today.
  • The First Submarine

    In 1620, the first submarine was invented by Dutch engineer Cornelis Jacobszoon Drebbel. It ended up taking 150 years later to be used in war.
  • First Contraction of Automobiles- the Wagon

    The wagon was built in 1717, and led to the first, functional transportation in the world.
  • The First Creation of The Steam Locomotive

    In 1804, Richard Trevithick was able to create the very first train, capable of carrying 10 tons of iron. This led to the increase of goods transported over large distances of land.

    The bike was invented in 1817 by a German man, Baron Karl von Drais. Originally, this bike didn't even have a steer or pedals! However, soon the bike would become very popular, and led to a "healthy way to get around".

    The first successful and known aircraft was invented by the Wright Brothers- Wilbur and Orville Wright in 1903. With this invention, this led to the first step into aircraft creation.

    In 1904, the first major subway, in New York City was established, which eventually became the largest subway station/system in the world.

    Tanks were made and first used by the British in a battle in War World One: the Battle of Flers-Courcelette. Soon, these would become common in every battleground for their successful defense.

    In 1951, the first successful cargo ship was operated in Denmark, allowing goods to be transported in large quantitates over large bodies of water.
  • The First Space Ship

    The first known, successful vehicle to space, which lead to the evolution of spaceships and the chance to visit outer-space.
