The first prototype of the Walkman was built in 1978 by auto-division engineer Nobatoshi Kihara. The founding father of Sony. Nobatoshi was born in 1926 of october and died Feb 2011. -

In 1986, Sony finaly agreed to pay royalties to Pavel, but only for sales in Germany and refused to acknowledge him as the inventorof the device. -

In 2001, Pavel threatened Sony with legal suits in every country which he had patened his invention. -

Walkman phones
Since Sony wanted to update the Walkman, they created walkman phones. The Walkman phones are like the iphone but has a smaller memory for music. -
Walkman core
The walkman core has a 1GB and 512MB memory with a 5 hour barttery life. -
Kihara Nobutoshi
The founding father, Nobutoshi Kihara died in Febuary 13th 2011 at the age of 85. His best invention was the walkman. He retired from Sony in 2006.
