    Jacob’s family is allowed to stay in Egypt because of Joseph and is blessed by God.

    Israelites Multiply in Egypt: Exodus 1:6

    Joseph and his generation had died but the Israelites started expanding more and Egypt was filled with Israelites.

    Israelites Oppressed by New King: Exodus 1:8

    Pharaoh did not know about Joseph and he was against the Israelites because it was filled with Israelites. He had thought the Israelites will one day cause a grand betrayal, so the Egyptians started mistreating the Israelites. Pharaoh had told the Hebrew midwives to kill the son of the Hebrews and let the daughters lived but the midwives feared God more than Pharaoh and they disobeyed the Pharaoh.

    Pharaoh's Order to Kill Firstborn: Exodus 1:22

    Pharaoh had realized the midwives wouldn't take action so instead he took action and ordered that Israelites sons had to be cast in the river which they most likely die as the daughters shall live.

    The Birth and Adoption of Moses: Exodus 2

    A Hebrew woman bared a sin and under Egyptian law the baby was meant to be cast in a river, but the woman hid the baby for 3 months. She then put on a basket her son, which his sister stood until she knew he was safe. He was picked up by Pharaoh's daughter which she named him Moses and raised him as her own.

    Moses Flees into Midian: Exodus 2:11

    After growing up and realizing he was Hebrew, Moses witnessed an Egyptian beating a fellow Hebrew. After killing the Egyptian, Moses attempted to break up a brawl among the Hebrews the following day. Until they had confronted him with the Egyptian's death, and Moses had come to face with his murderous act. After learning that Moses had killed an Egyptian, Pharaoh planned to kill him until Moses fled. After that, he moved to Midian, where he married and had a son.

    Israelites Groan in Slavery: Exodus 2:23

    Pharaoh had died and the new Pharaoh had made slavery harder for the Israelites. They had cried to God asking for help. God had heard their cries and had remember his covenant with Abraham and was worried for the Israelites.

    Moses Sent to Deliver Israel: Exodus 3-6

    Using a burning bush, God had called Moses to lead Israel out of slavery. In order for the Israelites to trust Moses, God also revealed his name. Moses told his brother what God had commanded, which they had told the elders as well. Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh for permission to let their people go for 3 days. The Pharaoh refused. The Israelites were enraged with Moses. God had said he was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob promising them freedom from Egypt.

    The Ten Plagues on Egypt: Exodus 7-12

    God had warned Moses that Pharaoh won't budge but God would stretch out his hand. Aaron and Moses performed a miracle with their staff to show Pharaoh but the magicians did the same thing and Pharaoh did not listen to let the Israelites go. Then the 10 plagues started, which is water turning to blood, plague of frogs, gnats, flies, livestock, boils, hail, locust, darkness and lastly plague of firstborn. As God strike the last plague, Pharaoh finally budged and told the Israelites to go.

    The Exodus Begins: Exodus 13-18

    The Israelites were freed from slavery and God commanded them to remember the day they were freed and God guides them with their journey. Pharaoh and Egyptians sought to retrieve Israelites, fearing the people. God's help opened the Red sea for the Israelites, not for the Egyptians. God provided the Israelites with bread and water, for the people of Israel after their lack of food and water. Moses then chose leaders.

    The Israelites At Mount Sinai: Exodus 19

    The Israelites went to the Desert of Sinai and Moses went to the mountain cause God had called him. He was told to tell the people if they obeyed, he'd be their treasure possession. God said he'd come as a dense cloud so the people can hear and God had commanded the people to not have relations and to wash their clothes and they can't go to the mountain or death awaits them. God said to Moses to tell the people to not push one another or they'll perish and in the end he only let Moses and Aaron.

    Moses Receives the Commandments: Exodus 20

    God had given Moses the commandments. The commandments that they should follow. The people were frightened though, they did not wanna hear God no more and they wanted Moses to just speak with him. Moses had reassure the people. Then God had told Moses to tell the Israelites to not make gods or gods of silver or gods of gold. God then said to make an alter which they should give offerings and God would bless them.

    Moses Receives the Law: Exodus 21-24

    These are the consequences God had given if they broke the commandments, which are also known as the laws. Some of these consequences are gruesome but in another way to look at it, it's meant for the people of Israel to follow the commandments. This also shows responsibility and accountableness. These are also things you shall not do. God then had made a covenant and the Israelites followed diligently. Moses then went to the mountain 40 days and nights.

    Preparations for the Tabernacle Exodus 25-31

    The Lord had told Moses to command the Israelites with preparing offerings and creating a sanctuary for the Lord. They built various structures, including an ark, table, lampstand, tabernacle, altar, courtyard, and more. The Lord consecrated the tent and altar for Aaron and his sons, and Bezalel was filled with God's spirit and Oholiab assisted him. The Israelites observed the Sabbaths as a sign for generations, and when God finished speaking, God gave Moses two tablets.

    The Golden Calf and Moses Anger: Exodus 32

    The Israelites, desperate without Moses, instructed Aaron to create gods and built an altar. The Lord warned Moses about their rebellion and planned to destroy them. Moses convinced the Lord not to destroy them. Moses burned the calf and gold jewelry, angering the people. Moses prayed that God would try to make an atonement for their sins. God sent an angel would come before Moses, and a plague was given to the Israelites for their sins.

    The Journey Resumes: Exodus 33-39

    The Lord instructed the Israelites to leave Egypt and go to the promised land, but the Israelites were not to be with them due to their rebellion. The people of Israel mourned and the Lord threatened to destroy them if they came. Moses built a tent called the tent of meeting, where the Lord spoke to him like a friend. The Lord made new stone tablets and a covenant with Moses, requiring six days of work and offerings. The Israelites were required to fulfill these commands again in chapter 25-31.

    The Tabernacle is Erected and Filled: Exodus 40

    The Lord had told Moses that first day of first month he had to set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. Which had to contain the ark, the table, lampstand, altar of incense, and the altar of burnt offering with basin before it and put water in it. He took the tablets of the covenant law and placed it in the ark. The cloud had covered the tent meeting and the glory of the Lord was in the tabernacle and Moses couldn't enter no more.
