TCP
TCP helped the internet to make sure that the receiver is getting all of its data through packets. If all the data hasn't been received then TCP makes the sender resend the missing data. -
First Email
The first email was sent by Ray Tomlinson to himself. "The test messages were entirely forgettable. . . . Most likely the first message was QWERTYIOP or something similar," he said. -

Telenet was known to be the first commercial version of ARPANET. Telenet was also the first internet service for regular citizens. -

In the early 1980s, telephone companies started to use fiber optics to rebuild their communication infrastructure. In 1988, the first transatlantic telephone cable went into operation. -

This allowed your computer to connect to the modem and connect to the internet. -
Development of HTML, Netscape, and Yahoo
This allowed everyone to browse the internet with having to know every part of the internet.
