  • ARPHANET

    ARPHANET
The ARPANET (The Advanced Research Projects Agency Networking) is an early packet switching network that first implemented the protocol suite TCP/IP (Transmission control protocol/Internet protocol). It was created by the company DARPA.
  • FTP and TCP/TP

    FTP and TCP/TP
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and TCP/IP (Transmission control protocol) were created and implemented to the ARPANET. This would help with the creation of the internet we know today. FTP is an internet protocol used to transfer files between a client and server on a computer network. TCP/IP is the basic communication language or protocol of the internet.
  • ETHERNET

    ETHERNET
The ETHERNET is a family of computer networking technologies used in local area networks (LANs) and metropolitan area networks (MANs). The ETHERNET network interface card is installed in an available slot inside the computer, typically on the motherboard, it is used to support higher bit rates and longer link distances of computers. It was commercially introduced in 1980 and first standardised in 1983. It was created by a team at the xerox corparations Palo Alto Research Centre
