    Computers have taken many shapes over the years, but the first programmable computer was invented in 1938 by Konrad Zuse, who built it in his parents' living room. The next development in the life of early computers was the first digital computer, invented in 1942 by Professor John Vincent Atanasoff in Iowa State College (currently Iowa State University).

    The internet started out long ago with the ARPNET, which means Advanced Research Project Agency Network. It was the first system to use TCP/IP protocol suite, which was also used to invent the internet. ARPNET was created with the idea of having an interconnected system that could be used for insanely fast access of information and communication.     Wikipedia is a web based, free encyclopedia that is available in 303 different languages. It was launched by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger. The unique about it is that any person can edit what is said on one of Wikipedia's 40 million articles.

    Safari is a web browser developed by Apple based on the internet engine WebKit. It was first used first on Mac OS X Panther, then later used in iPhones and other mobile devices.
