Galactic Network
In August 1962, J.C.R. Licklider of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) had proposed the idea of connecting socially which was called the "Galactic Network" concept. He imagined a future were everyone had easy access to what we know now as the internet. -
Packets
In 1965 Leonard Kleinrock had created a way of sending information form one place to another this method is called "packet switching". This is where data is broken down into blocks and is sent down in its own path. The Network grows
In 1969 four computers were connected to the ARPAnet, there were only two computers connected which was the UCLA and Standford. Then in 1971 the university of Hawaii was added and then networks at London's University College, and Royal Radar Establishment in Norway was all added. By the end of the 1970s a scientists Vinton Cerf had solved the problem and had created a way for all the computers in the world to communicate without a problem it was called transmission Control Protocol.(History) -
The World Web
The TPC created a new worldwide network and through the 80s scientists used it to send flies and data form a computer to another one. In the same year a programmer named Berners-Lee introduced the World Web and created the internet as we know it today -
University of Illinois
after the 80s the internet changed and updated. In 1992 a group of student studying in the University of Illinois had created a browser name Mosaic. Mosaic allowed its users to see words and pictures on the same page for the first time ever and it also navigated using scrollbars and clickable links. In the same year some people decided that the web could be used for commercial purposes. This made ads popular and allowed companies to set up their own websites

Communication
in 1993 the number of websites had reached 600 and big people started using it too for example the White House and United Nations. Numerous computers connected to the NSFNET and grew form 2000 in 1985 to over 2 million in 1993. In 1994 the Netscape communication was alive and starts allowing people to communicate.

The Browser War
Since website started appearing on the internet so did the browser war. This war was between players of Microsoft and Netscape. Then in 1997 Netfliex was founded by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph as a company that send user DVDs by mail. Then in 1998 the Google engine was born changing the way users engage with the internet. -

At the same time the internet protocol version 6 was introduce and allowed the internet to grow in the future. Even after Netscape was popular for years AOL buys it. -
The vulnerability
There were only 361 million internet users in 2000. A perpetrator known as SQL slammer, Sapphire and MS SQL worm had launched an attack on the weekend that spread world wide in just 10 minutes. 2013 was when the government and citizens relationship got even more shaky. A former CIA Edward Snowday had revealed documents on the Washington Post publisher and it was exposed that the government had been surveilling everyone connected to the internet . 2016 is when the internet started getting more advanced. This year is when Google Assistance was introduced and when the internet was connected with the word "smart" after google assistance there was Alexa, Siri and Cortana.
