Hewlett-Packard starts making Computers

HP-85 First Handheld Scientific Calculator
The HP-35 was the first Scientific Calculator because it had 35 keys and it was handheld. This was introduced in 192. This little device quickly replaced the faithful slider ruler that had been used for generations by engineers and scientist for quick calculation and simple computation. It was the first hand held device containing integrated circuits and LED. This was one of the most popular calculators ever made, HP could not make them fast enough. -

The HP 85 was the introduction of Personal Computer that was portable system for professionals. It was the beginning of the small computer user. This was small machine based on 8 bit microprocessor that combined an alphanumeric keyboard and small screen with a small printer tape for printing. It has came in two styles 16K and 32K ROM. -
HP-110 - Introduction of Laptop Computer
The HP 110, was the HP’s first laptop computer, this was considered an industry breakthrough. It weighed 8.5 lbs., this was the size of a notebook, it had 16-bit IBM compatible processer, and it came in either 272K and 384K ROM. It had one of the largest memory available in portable computer when it was launched. Since this machine operated on MS-DOS, it could be used with an IBM PC or the HP-150 touchscreen computer that was for the less technical user. This machine cost around $3,000. -
HP Pavilion 5030 - First Multimedia PC for the Home
HP launched the series of computer called the Pavillion, as the first multimedia PC designed for the home market. The first one was called the HP Pavillion 5030. The Pavilion series went on to become the market leader in consumer PC’s. This computer was the first of it’s kind to feature a quad-speed CD-ROM drive vs. a disk drive, built in Altec Lansing speakers and it was on the Windows 95 operating system. Featured Intel Pentium 75MHz processor and 8MB of RAM and 850MB hard drive. -
