George Stibitz created the complex number calculator that is a mix between a typewriter and calculator. I chose the complex number calculator because it is the foundation for the modern computer and one of the first computers developed. -

F.C. Williams developes the Cathode-ray tube (CRT) that stores and acceses memory of a computer. I chose the CRT because it is the forerunner to RAM used in cpu today. -

Douglas Engelbart theorises on interactive computing with keyboard and screen display instead of on punchcards This is important because it allowed us to advace to and theories a more digital and interactive computer than the punch card computers. -

The first commercial computer made in the United States and designed principally by John Presper Eckert & John W. Mauchly This is important because its the transition into public computers causing a rise in demand for computers making reasercher wokr harder to develope better computers. -
RAM
Intel introduces the world's first available dynamic RAM chip and the first microprocessor, the Intel 4004. This is important because it allowes us to advance into a quicker computer as well as a smaller and advances computer with easy storage. -
Modem
Ward Christensen writes the program "MODEM" allowing two microcomputers to exchange files with each other over a phone line This is important because it allows people to start sharing data with each other creating an intrest for computers. -
Windows
Microsoft Windows introduced eliminating the need for a user to have to type each command, like MS-DOS, by using a mouse to navigate through drop-down menus, tabs and icons This is important because it makes using a computer easy and almost anyone could use one. -
WWW
The World Wide Web is launched to the public on August 6, 1991 This is what every web page is on and the biggest part of internet today, thus creating it was veary important because it made almost anyone want and now need a computer. -
Google
Google is founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page on September 7, 1998 I chose Google because it is the behemoth of the internet today, and when creating it we started the modern internet.
