    Ralph Lane leads an expedition to the middle of North Carolina looking for Gold and other expensive items.

    The white people finally return to the colony to find no one is left. There is no evidence of where they went or why.
  • Looking for evidence

    John Smith sent expeditions to the island but his people find nothing.
  • Move in

    The white people move in all along the coast and North Carolina.
  • Abandoned Land

    Chowanoc and Wepeamoc people slowly abandoned their land because they were forced to become slaves.
