    The first message ever sent over the Internet was between Charley Kline, and Stanford Research Institute using a precursor of the internet, coined ARPANET. The text simply read, "lo" because the computer crashed after the first two letters of the word "login". After the computer was fixed, the rest of the word was sent successfully.
