    In 2011, Limewire agreed to pay $105 million in copyright settlement. I remember in middle school Limewire's popularity; I can also remember it ruining my friend's home desktop computer. This was worth noting because Limewire was a peer-to-peer piracy sharing company. The idea was similar to today's social media, except the songs were pirated and it was all illegal.

According to the Independent, By September 26 2006, anyone in the world could make themselves a Facebook account, as long as they were at least 13 years old and had a valid email address."

The cool thing is that anyone can post to it. Some would say YouTube can be grouped with streaming sites like Netflix that are taking over satellite TV.
