Indigenous people believe that the blankets supplied to them by the Hudson Bay Company gave them smallpox. It's believed that this was done by the British to get rid of them to get more land.

Chinese come to Canada

Residential school was created

This was a school created to teach Indiginous children to be more "Canadian."
Children were forced away from their families. They were physically and sexually abused.

Chinese Canadians forced to build the Canadian railway

Sir John A MacDonald forced Chinese Candians to begin building the railway under horrible conditions.
