The creator of the nintendo gaming company didn't begin with consoles.
Fusajiro Yamauchi began with "Hanafuda" meaning "flower cards" which were a series Japanese playing cards. -
The Nintendo Entertainment System
the NES Sold over 60 million consoles, people brought games only to be seen in arcades like Mario and Zelda into their homes for the first time on the NES. -
Game Boy
When this device came out it define portable gaming. The screen only held four colour but it was the most successful video game system ever released and sold well over 150 million units. -
Super Nintendo Entertainment System
This was the first nintendo console to use 16-bit technology and used increased processing power. About 49 million consoles were sold. -
Ninendo 64
Millions were thrilled but the amazing graphics and set new standards for 3D gameplay. -
Gameboy Pocket
Much like the original but smaller and in a variety of diffrent colours. -
Gameboy Advance
With a larger screen and better graphics this system went on to sell tens of millions of dollars. -
Game Cube
Also released in 2001 was the game cube. The first console to use optical discs instead of cartridges. -
Gameboy Advanced SP
The Gameboy Advance SP had the same screen size and performance of the Game boy advanced but in a form that make it truly pocket portable. -
Ds
This device, including two screens, a microphone, and a touch screen beat all Its rivals at the time. The DS became on incredibly popular console. A smaller version, Ds lite was sold later in 2006 -
Wii
Along came the best selling latest generation console featuring the motion sensitive remotes and built in wifi capability. -
Dsi
This portable system included two cameras, front and back, and access to thousands of game downloads over the internet. -
Dsi XL
This version of the dsi is 93 percent larger than that of the ds lite.
