The first blog was made in 1994 by a collage student attending Swarthmore Collage. These were made to spred news. A blog is usually maintained by one person who posts information about something that is going on around the world. Most of the blogs are just texts and images but some are videos too. -
Social Media
The first social media site is called Six Degrees. It was made for people to make friends with other people. You can blog and post pictures on this. Today, social media is mainly used for news. Some of this news is fake though because anyone can post anything they want, so people can't rely on this as a main way to get the best news.
