Son of David, Solomon created the first Jewish holy temple. The temple was the center of the Israelites which united the kingdom of Israel and Judah. -

Seeking Refuge in Jerusalem
The Assyrians started to gain power for some time now. With the conquer of Sumaria, refugees flee to Jerusalem and the city begins to expand. -

Jerusalem destroyed
Ebuchadnezzar invaded Judah and began a siege of Jerusalem. The Babylons Destroyed the first temple and demolished all of Jerusalem. Ebuchadnezzar captured thousands of hebrews and Brought them to Babylon. -

Cyrus the Great
With Cyrus the Great coming into power he conquered and ruled over Jerusalem. -
516 BCE
Exiles Returning to Jerusalem
Cyrus the great allowed the jews in Babylonian exiles to return back to Jerusalem. He also allowed them to rebuilt the temple that was destroyed. -
332 BCE
Jerusalem Captured Yet Again
Greek leader Alexander the Great captures Jerusalem.
