William Stern

Amy Alpha and Beta Tests
The army used the alpha and beta tests on almost all recruits. Alpha test emphasized verbal abilities and was given to everyone. The Beta test emphasized non-verbal abilities and was to be given to those who performed poorly on the Alpha test and were suspected of having language problems. -

Wechsler objected to the single score offered by the 1937 Binet scale.Wechsler is best known for his intelligence tests. He is one of the most influential advocates of the role of nonintellective factors in testing. He emphasized that factors other than intellectual ability are involved in intelligent behavior. -

-Gardner argues that we have multiple intelligences. He has idendtified a total of 8 -
Robert Sternberg
Sternberg agrees with Gardner about multiple intelligences but he believes in 3 intelligences not 8.
