The 1900's
Blouses and dresses were full in front and puffed into a "pigeon breast" shape of the early 20th century that looked over the narrow waist, which sloped from back to front and was often accented with a sash or belt. -
The 1910's
Dinner on the Titanic was the most elegant event on the most luxurious ocean liner, thus first class passengers would wear the most formal option for dinner attire. For women, this consisted of an evening gown, no hat, long white gloves, kid leather or satin shoes to match the gown, opera bag, fan, and scarf. -
The 1920's
In 1920's in which women first abandoned the more restricting fashions of past years and began to wear more comfortable clothes. -
the 1930's
In the 1930s there was a return to a more genteel, ladylike appearance.
Skirts were frequently longer at the back than the front. -
The 1940's
Fashion in the 1940s was a good mix of comfort and glamour.Men were still pretty dressed up. Suits, ties and hats were commonplace in public. Women wore dresses and skirts — they still didn’t wear slacks yet.
Fur was very popular, as was all kind of animal skins. -
The 1950's
The waistline was a major issue in the 1950s. Everyone had there skirts/dresses to there waist.
Fur was also a comeback in the 50's. -
The 1960's
The longer lenght skirts were pushed away.
A lot of people also adapted the hippie fashion. -
The 1970's
In this time period they had a more hippie/disco look. They wore brighter colors and women also wore high cut boots and low cut pants. -
1980's
Dance Wear , jelly shoes, mini-skirts we're really popular in this year. -
The 1990's
baggy pants spilled over from the late 80s and into the early 90s.
Also popular were overalls. -
2000
