    On August 3rd, 1492 Christopher Columbus had set sail to find a passage way to Asia. He failed, however, discovered a new land that we now call America today.

    The Proclamation of 1763 was an order to the colonists from Parliment that they were forbidden to go beyond west of the Appalation Mountains for fear that they would start more wars.

    An act made to tax colonists because teh British were in such deep dept form teh Fdrench and indian War. Taxation on paper materials.

    An act to give soldiers a place to stay. Also provided fuel, candles, beer, and transportation for the troops.

    Another taxation act upon different items. These included glass, lead, paper, paint, and tea.

    An incident where the colonist began harrassing British troops and tormenting them. The troops opened fire, killing 5 colonists.

    The colonists rebelled against and overthrew $1 million worth of tea into the Boston Harbor.

    Rules and regulations given only to the colony of Massacusettes as punishment for the Boston Tea Party.

  • Lexington & Concord

    Lexington & Concord
    British soldiers set off to Lexington to take all the colonists gun powder and weapons. However, the colonist militia stopped them and stood up for themselves. After the second contiental congress the Revolutionary War started. The first shots of the Revolutionary War were taken place here.
  • Battle for Boston

    Battle for Boston
    After Battle of Bunker Hill Washington and his men camped outside of Boston with waposn rangeing from rifels to swords. It was there that he trained men into an army and taught them to take orders and work together. In January 1776 the cannons from Tinconderoga arrived. Washington placed the cannons on Dorchester Heights overlooking the harbor. The loyalist saw the cannons and retreated.
  • Fort Ticonderga

    Fort Ticonderga
    A group of Vermonters, known as the Green Mountain Boys, lead a surprise attack on Fort Ticonderoga. The overpowered the guard and took control of the fort and its valuable stock of cannons and gunpowder. This gave the Americans a key route to Canada.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    1,200 men lined up on Bunker Hill where they could fire on British ships in the harbor. Once there they saw that Breeds Hill was a better position and moved there to dig defensive trenches. British retreated twice before finally taking the hill. This was the first major battle of the Revolution.
