The term 'Parliament' comes from the french word meaning 'discussion', in fact his council included barons, knights and two representatives from each towns. The Model Parliament of Edward I included representatives of the barons, the clergy, two Knights from each countries and two citizens from each town. -

Geoffrey Chaucher was born in 1343 and eh received an excellent education. Eh was a son of a wine merchant.

Is a narrative poem and it si told in verse.
It is an estates satire.
It contains a variety of narrative elements:setting,description of characters.
This poem was introduced by a prologue where pilgrims are introduced.
The story is about thity people, included Chaucer as a narrator. They join a pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral and The shrine of Thomas Becket. The pilgrim told a story and Who told The best story will win a free dinner. -

Chaucer died.
He died in 1400 and was The first poet to be burried in Westminster Abbey,in what was to become Poets' Corner
