First School Shooting
The earliest know school shooting happened in 1764, near present-day Greencastle, Pennsylvania. Four Lenape American Indians entered the school, killing the head master and up to ten children. Only two children survived. Reports vary on how many were killed and survived.

Mandatory Education Law
Massachusetts was the first to pass this Law. This Law required every town/city to have a public primary school that focused on teaching children grammar and arithmetic.
