Oberlin Collegiate Institute
In 1833 the first co-ed college was opened. At this time there were 44 students, which included 29 men and 15 women. -
Education required till age 10
In 1880 there was an act passed that required students to attend school till age of ten. -
Act requiring students to attend school till age 10
In 1893 the age of requireing students to attend school till went up to 11. -
