The Founding of Australia
On the 28 April 1770 Captain James Cook Sailed to an unknown bay which we know as Botany Bay. -
First Fleet Departure from England
On 13 May 1787 the First Fleet departed from England bound for arrival at Botany Bay.This trip took eight months and only aroung 10 people died. It was a really horrible voyage because of the lack of real food and water. -
Australian Arrival
The First Fleet landed at Botany Bay between the 18th and 20th of Janurary 1788 but Botany Bay was Immediately avoided beacause it was unsuitable. On the 21st Captain Phillip and a few of his officers travelled to what we now know as Sydney Cove and they decided that this location would suit their kind of settlement. -
Smallpox Diseas Outbreak
In 1889 an outbreak of the deadly smallpox diseas was spread among the aboriginal people killing hundreds of them.In result of this diseas being spread among the Aboriginal people it killed almost half of the whole Aboriginal population. -
Population Rise
The population in NSW is estimated to be around 24,000 because of its beautiful weather and exellent farming land. -
The First Major Australian Gold Rush
The first gold rush in Australia began in 1851 when prospector Edward Hargraves claimed the discovery of payable gold near Bathurst, New South Whales at a site he called ophir. Eight months later thousands of people visted Australia in seek of their fortune. -
The Federation of Australia
The Federation of Australia was the process by which the six separate British self-governing colonies of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia formed one nation.
