    On 13 May 1787 the First Fleet departed from England bound for arrival at Botany Bay.This trip took eight months and only aroung 10 people died. It was a really horrible voyage because of the lack of real food and water.

    The First Fleet landed at Botany Bay between the 18th and 20th of Janurary 1788 but Botany Bay was Immediately avoided beacause it was unsuitable. On the 21st Captain Phillip and a few of his officers travelled to what we now know as Sydney Cove and they decided that this location would suit their kind of settlement.
