    Alan Turing

    Alan Turing was a british mathematician, who was famous for having the enigma machine during world war 2. The enigma machine was for the british intelligence bureau to keep track of the germans and their next move during the war. Enigma was a super encrypted code that the Germans used to communicate under Allied eyes. The code changed every 24 hours, and the code was very spontaneous and random. The turing machine, was the anti-enigma solver. Using math and unkown variables he solved every code
  • Lo and behold

    On the 29th October, 1969, the first message was sent by a computer with aid of signals artifically made by humans. The message stated, "Lo", as in the statement, "Lo and behold". The person who sent this message was Charley Kline, a UCLA student programmer, who sent the message through ARPANET, the precursor to modern internet.
  • Bob Kahn

    Bob Kahn can be referred to as the founder and inventor of the internet. He was born in 1938 in New York, is an electro engineer, took his masters degree in the university of Princeton, (1962), his biggest and most recognizable project, is the internet. During the 1980's and 90's, he was working with Vint Cerf on the basics of Transmission Control Protocol, (TCP), and Internet Protocol, (IP).

    First internet millionaires

    Ebay and Yahoo were the first internet companies to make millions of off the internet. The creator of the internet, Bob Kahn, earned very little for his research and addition towards the internet, henceforth, the first millionaires of the internet would be the big companies that were made in 1995 - 1997. These companies are still big today.
  • Six degrees

    Six degrees was the first recognizable social media platform. It was created in 1997. It allowed users to upload a profile and make friends with other users. In 1999, the first blogging sites became popular. Creating a social media sensation that is still popular today.
