The fleets first stop
The first fleet arrived at the Canary Islands where they collected some things for the next part of their journey, they collected such things like fruit, vegetables and blankets to keep themselves warm. All of these things are very important when having a long boat/ship journey. -
18 January 1788 the first british fleet arrives at Botany Bay
After Josurf Banks declaired that it was suitable for a colany to go to Botany Bay. He declaired this in 1770. -
The fleet moves locations.....
On the 21st of January 1788 Phillip and his gang which were official Marine officers, landed at an unknown place which is now called Camp Cove. This was a special moment because they were the first fleet to land in port Jackson. -
The first fleet relocated to Port Jackson.
After the fleet relocated they arrived at a place called camp cove which was a beach front full of beautiful sand -
Moving further into the harbour
The convicts moved further into the Sydney Harbour where the British flag was raised at the Sydney Cove 750 convicts and their beloved families disembarked the ship, there were also 252 marine soldiers and their families’ -

More Convict fleets arrive
After the first fleet they then sent two more convict ships between the time of 1790 and 1791, after that the first settlers arrived as well. -
Convict colonies served their perpose
By the mid-1800s there were lots of people that needed work and there were enough people that had work that the colonies could sustain themselves and therefore they could continue to grow. The convicts had served there perpose.
