  • Magnavox Odyssey

    Magnavox Odyssey
    This was the first commercial home video game console, made by Ralph H. Baer. This game was played on the TV with controllers and dots on the screen with different behavior depending on what was played. It also came with dice, paper money, and other games. The first Light gun game was sold seperately.
  • Pong

    Pong
    This arcade game made by Atari was one of the earliest arcade video games made. Its a table 2D table tennis game. The player moves the paddle to hit the ball back and forth. The objective of the game is to reach 11 points before your opponent to win the game. This was the first ever game made by Atari.
  • Atari 2600

    Atari 2600
    This console was sold at $199 when it came out. There were eight games when it released. It was Combat (that came with the console), Air-Sea Battle, BlackJack, Indy 500, Street Racer, etc. They also later released Pac-Man which sold 7 million copies.

    This was one of the most popular arcade games in the 80's and 90's. This game was created first by Namco in Japan on May 22nd, 1980 and then in North America later on October 26th, 1980. The objective of the game was to gather points by eating all the Pac-dots in the maze to move on to the next stage.

    This was also a very popular arcade game my by Namco just like Pac-man in the 80's and 90's. It was first made in Japan in September, 1981 and North America makes it in December, 1981. The objective of the game was to score as many points as you can using your Starfighter to destroy insect-like enemies.
  • Atari 5200

    Atari 5200
    This console was protected with a codename called "PAM" which means Personal Arcade Machine. Poor seller because it was based on Atari's Inc. 400/800 computers because the software wasn't the same.
  • SG-1000

    SG-1000
    Its video processor was capable of displaying 16 colors and had a sound chip. Powered by an 8-bit Zilog Z80 central processing unit running 3.58 MHz. Only sold in Japan for 15000 Japanese Yen.

    This would allow you to play many games like, Duck hunt, 10-yard fight, Clu Clu land, Excitebite, golf, pinball, tennis, ect. Nintendo earned $310 million from the sale of this console.

    A 32-bit console. The first Sega console to display 3D graphics. Its called Saturn because Saturn is the sixth planet and it was Sega's sixth console.

    The PlayStation wasn't all Sony's idea, the had a partnership with Nintendo. Its storage was 650 MB. There top game for the PlayStation 1 was Grand Turismo. The controller was said to be a representation of the 3D graphics of the game.
  • Nintendo 64

    Nintendo 64
    Its name stands for it 64-bit central processing unit. Super Mario Bro's was the only game that was 1st released with the console, then the only other game that hit the shelves was Pilotwings 64. Then later on in the years more games came out like GoldenEye 007, Banjo Kazooie, and the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

    Considered Sony's most successful gaming console of all time. Capable of displaying in HD for certain games. Grand Theft Auto was one of the most popular games for the PlayStation 2. Only able to store 8 MB of storage.

    Able to support up to 4 players at one time. Introduced Xbox Live which allowed you to play multiplayer with other people. Halo and Forza Horizon were 2 very popular games that were sold for the Xbox.
  • GameCube

    The first Nintendo to use Optical Discs. The fourth game console made by Nintendo. Some popular games that were first developed with it were Super Smash Bro's, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Mario Kart 4.

    Sony's third game console. Sold in 2 models, the first one cost $399 with a 40 GB hard drive. The other one is $499 and has a 60 GB hard drive. It is the only seventh generation console that can play blu-ray discs.

    Sony's first handheld game console. Could play games, music, videos and pictures. There are 5 versions of this, the PSP-1000, PSP-2000, PSP-3000, PSP-N1000, and PSP-E1000.

    Over 70 million consoles has been sold worldwide. When this console came out it gave the gamers the ability to stream games listen to music and watch movies. Its competitors were the PlayStation 3 and the Wii. Call of Duty 2 was the most successful game sold when the console came out.

    This console introduced PlayStation VR. Its backwards compatible, which basically means it can play PlayStation 3 games. They have also now came out with the PlayStation 4 Slim and the PS4 Pro.

    Has voice recognition which allows users to tell the console to turn on or turn on TV and many others. Its possible to Skype while playing games or watching TV at the same time. Also able to download updates automatically.
  • Nintendo Switch

    The number of switches sold in the first month was 2.4 million. The best selling games for it are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild, Mario Kart 8, and Splatoon 2. It can come off the controller and be played with 2 people or possibly more.
