The Xlerator is a powerful hand dryer that gets the job within done within 10-15 seconds.It uses 80% Less energy and is a 95% cost savings over paper towels. There was an innovation to the dryer in 2014 where it was made safer for the kids to use by reducing the carbon footprint. This can be a valuable lesson on teaching students about the importance of the environment and the impact they have on it.

    Phones with built in cameras became public in 2002. There is a debate about who, Samsung or Sharp, first manufactured the camera phone. In 2004, the U.S. continued to push the camera phone trend and Sprint released the PM8920. The first phone able to take photos, send photos wireless, and print the photos in good quality although taken on the phone. In 2005 the Nokia N90 came out and this phone was best remembered by rotating the screen and also gave the LED flash. Cameras keep developing today.

    Facebook was invented by a 19-year-old, Harvard sophomore college student named Mark Zuckerberg. Mark was accused of having the idea stolen when it began to get attention. There was a settlement of $65 million, but case remains open up to this day. Face book was initially to be a student directory for just the Harvard students, but more people got involved & there was a talk of making it available to all Ivy League schools. By 2006 it was opened up to anyone who was 13 and older with an email.

    The first generation for the iPod Nano was released in 2005. Now the first iPod was invented in 2001 by a British inventor named Kane Kramer. The iPod Nano went through many modifications, but all mostly to update the look and storage spacing. Shortly after release the iPod Nano became the highest selling MP3 player in history. The biggest update between the Mini to the Nano is the use of flash memory that makes it resistant to hard disk failure. Apple discontinued iPod Nano in 2017.

    The Wii one of the best selling video consoles of all time. The video game designer/producer, Shigeru Miyamoto, was born November 16 1952. The Wii was released in 2006 and had out sold the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 combined. There were 21 games that came out with the console and 12 games that were announced later. Over all this was targeted to a much greater audience as the I's in the word Wii was to signify two people playing together and brought families together. Discontinued now as of 2017.

    The worlds first digital camera to capture 3D stills and movies. This allows the users to display the image on a 8.0-inch screen without needing to wear special glasses. The Figifilms headquarters are in Tokyo Japan, and first launched the camera in 2009. The display data can also be downloaded to a USB or computer for sharing.
