1981 - My first vivid memory of computers was in elementary school in 1988 and was introduced to the keys and DOS as a operating systems. -
Nintendo
1985 - Nintendo - Originally made in Japan and was released to America in 1985 as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). I didn't own one until the mid 90's and loved the Mario, Tetrus, Zelda. -
Macintosh Portable Computer
1989-Macintosh Portable Computer - Only manufactured for 2 years and weighed 16 pounds, costing approx ($6,500 US). Something that I remember about this machine was that my father found one at a yard sale in the late 90s and bought it. I remember the screen was small but I also remember the mouse ball. -
Floppy Disks and Diskette
When storing data or running a game on a computer you had to use the 3.5 Diskette. The 8 inch floppy disks were still used but the Diskettes were the next best thing, there was less damage. -
Game Boy is released
1989 - Game Boy is released. I didn't own a Game Boy until the early 90's but it took the regular Nintendo Console portable. I owned many games when I was a teenager. This was first released in Japan.
