The first successful high level programming language. This is significant, it became the universal computer language. -
Spacewar Computer Game
The first computer game invented. We would be in a much different place without computer games! There wouldn't be so many filters. -
Computer Mouse
Nicknamed the mouse because the tail came out the end. This was revolutionary because it made the desktop convienient. -
Intel 1103 Computer Memory
The world's first RAM chip. This chip made the computer different becuse it was the first form of main memory for the computer. -
Scelbi & Mark-8 Altair & IBM 5100 Computers
The first computer made for consumers. This event helped us get the laptops that we have today. -
Apple Lisa Computer
The first home computer with a GUI, graphical user interface. After this people were able to use pictures or images on the computer rather than text. This started a generation when computers became convenient and easier to use. -
Microsoft Windows
Microsoft began the friendly war with Apple. I chose this because it is a huge part of computer history, and the fight is still going on today.
