In a game at Louisville a player (Pete Browning) got a new bat (Made by and went 4 - 4 the next game and everyone wanted bats from John Hillerich. -
New Rules.
The rule that bats could no longer be sawed off at the end is put into play. Also the max diameter is 2.75 inches. -
The Rise of Aluminum Bats
William Shroyer Introduced the first aluminum baseball bat but they were not used untill 1970. -
Upgrading White Ash to Maple.
In 2001 Barry Bonds hit in an outstanding 73 home runs in a single season. People say it was becasue he was using a Maple bat.
