Mungo man and his Ancestors were first modern man to leave Africa 70,000 years ago(2019)
Mungo man is the oldest human found outside of Africa, who was discovered on April 1974. Mungo man is 42,000 years old and was studied at Australian National University. Mungo man was buried in a ceremonial way which indicated he might've been a chief or head of the tribe. After being studied about, he was said to be approximately 40 years old and just under 6 feet tall.
When they were travelling they met the sea and made the first human open ocean crossing, which today we call a boat. -

Genyornis' are large flightless birds that are around 5 times the size of emus. A painting found of a Genyornis is probably one of the oldest paintings ever made.
Another ancient animal is a large reptile named a Megalania Prisca. These huge reptiles were one of the largest predators back then. The youngest fossil found of a megalania is around 50,000 years old.

The Industrial Revolution started in Britain in the 18th century. The industrial revolution is the time period when many machines were invented and replaced many jobs. Since many people lost their jobs, they struggled with money and had to steal things to survive. As a result of this, the prisons became overcrowded. If prisons were too crowded, there would be a likely spread of disease so they used old war ships called Hulks to contain the prisoners. -

The cause of the first fleet arriving in Australia was the Industrial Revolution. The cause of so many crimes overcrowded prisons which would result in disease. At that time there was the Bubonic Plague so most people were extremely afraid of disease spreading. Since they couldn't keep all the convicts in Britain they had to send some to Australia to keep from overcrowding prisons. -
