The Board of Certification was incorporated from the NATA to provide a certification program for entry-level Athletic Trainers. The BOC has only accredited cerification program for Athletic Trainers in the US. Offices are in Omaha, Nebraska. -
AT Eduation Programs approved
There were 23 undergraduate programs and two graduate programs approved by the NATA. -

The American Medical Assication recognized Athletic Training as a allied health profession. -

The JRC-AT (Joint Review Committee for Athletic Training) separated from CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) and became the independent accreditor CAATE(Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education)
