Hired
When I gained employment with the company as an HR Generalist, I was excited to see what the future held being that it was an up and coming company with tons of potential. -
Team grew from 3 employees to 6
Because of the workload and how fast the company was growing, we were projected to grow our HR team by 6 before the end of 2014 -
Positive additions
To eliminate some of the administrative tasks of the HR team, we decided to add a Admin Assistant and a On-boarding Specialist. This would allow the team time to concentrate on more important issues/concerns that the employees had. -
HR changes
By the end of 2015 we had 1 admin, 1 on-boarding specialist and 8 Hr Generalist. To allow the team to grow in specific areas, we announced that we would be changing the operation of the HR department by creating a payroll team, benefits team, accounting team etc. -
Training
In April of 2016 we started training the employees to be aligned with the department that they would be in. -
Up and running
May 1st was the goal live date for the departmental changes. We also implemented a time study to make sure each person was only handling concerns/questions that aligned with their department. We made it known that we would re-evaluate after 90 days. -
Evaluation
Collectively, we all met at discussed road blocks that we faced along with successes of operating the new way and after making a few changes, our department was official restructured.
