  • The Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence
    John Hancock was the president of the congress, and he was the first person to sign the Declaration of Independence. The core idea of the Declaration is basded on the philosohy of John Locke. This idea is that people have natural and unalienable rights, or raights that goverment cannot take away.

    Thomas Jefferson had two mean go out and search the knew territory he just bought, the land would double the United States. The men he sent where Lewis and Clark.
  • The Lewis and Clark Journey West

    After Thoumas Jefferson bought the Losisana territory he got two guys named Lewis and Clark to go on a journey and explore it. He wanted them to make peice with the Native Americans and make new accurate maps, a water way from the Atlantic ocean to the Pacific ocean and find new animals and plants and name them.

    The actions from Mexican goverment caused angry protests from americans. One ofthe mst important requst was that Texis become a self-governing state. In 1833 the Mexican soldiers marched to the twon of Gonzales. In 1836vthe Texans met a settlement called Washignton-on-the-Brazos.

    The Donner party was travleing and there was a mountain and they would have too go around it and it would there trip a ot longer and they where running low on food. They set up camp and that night it snowed 5 feet and so they stayed becuase the snow was so high. They where running out of food and they starting eating bark and twigs and other stuff and they got so hungry they got scared so they started eating there ow people.

    On April25, 1846, a Mexican unit crossed the Rio Grande and ambushed an American patrol. Two days later, congress declared war. The defeat of Mexico proved more difficult, American forces invaded Mexico from two directions.

    A federal outpost in charleston, South Carolina, that was attacked by conerate troops begain the civil war. Confederates ringed the harbor with heavy guns. Instaed of surrendering the fort Licoln decided to send in ships.

The attack planes come in, in two waves one at 7:53 and 8:55 to 9:55 it was all over. By 1:00 the carriers that launched the planes from 274 miles off the caost of Oahu where heading back to Japan
  • Brown V. Board of Education

    In the early 1050's five schhols segregstion cases from Delaware, Kansas, South Carolina, Viginia, and Washington D.C., came together under the title Brown V. Board of Education. Linda brown had to go arcross town to go to a black school, so her father sued to allow Linda to go to the closer school. The court ordered public schools to desegregate, or interegate, with all dilberate speed.
