Nearing the end of the fifth century, Romans had a plan to take over Italy. It slowly started. Over the next couple of years, the Romans had made allies with people all over Italy, and it wasn't till 270 they took over. This event is important becuase it supported Romans military invironment, which was their main protection, and the reason roads were constructed. -

C. 300, BCE; Euclid Studies and Writes
This is the time that Euclid improved Acient Greece by his studying and his writing. He made the world a more advanced place. He and his studies and writing is important because from what Euclid has wrote over his thirteen books filled with Euclidean geometry and the acience Greek version of the elementary number theory, we as a world can grow and build and make each individual society intellectually smarter. -

First Highways and Adueducts; 312 BCE
312 B.C. was when the first highways and aqueducts were built in Ancient Rome. Approximately, there were 5,000 (80,000km) extended in Rome. Rome is also known and has the achievement of construction of the roads. Legend has it that the Roman Empire had forced its people to do the work. This event is important becuase the people of Rome (in the past and future), now have something to travel on. -

371, BCE; Thebes defeats Sparta
This is the time that Thebes defeated Sparta at le land of Leuctra. After this, Thebes had lead an army into Sparta territory. This resulted in eroding the Greek society from the wars between the two city-states. This event is important becuase it is the reasoning destroying the Greek society. It shows that the Greek society is not neerly connected with its people as it was in the past. -

Our whole system of medicine now, is based from the acient medicine used in acience greece. This was the time that Hippocrates practices and studies medicine. This event is important becuase without Hippocrates in acient greece, there would never the Hippocrates Oath, which is still taken by physicians. -

431, BCE; The Peloponnesian War Begins
This is the time that the Peolponnesian War began between Sparta and Athens. This started in Sparta, (the city: Attica) which gave them an advantage. The war moved around from: Athens, Sparta, Mantinea, Corinith, Cephallenia Island, Elis, Attica, Laconia, Zacynthus,etc. This was a territorial, economic, and political disagreement. This war went on for 27 years.The Athenians outnumbered the army of the Spartans. Athenians had 24,000 people in the army, meanwhile Sparta only had 14,000. -

447, BCE; Parthenon Completed in Athens
This is a Greek classical temple, located in Athens. The hight of this stucture is 228 by 101ft. The size of this is 45ft. The Greek government owns this building. The Greek building is dedicated to the Godess named Athena during the Panathenaic Games. This building is important becuase it was used as a treasury, then later became the Athenien Empire. Part of this building was eventually tunred into a mosque. -

650 BCE
This is the time where Tyrants rule some Greek city-states. This is a result of the poorer classes' discontent with the ruling class. I believe that this is an important event becuase in a tyranny, the ruler is not fit to be running a city-state. -

700 BCE. Prior to the 8th Century
During this time period, most Greek city-states were monarchies. I believe this is an important becuase with two rulers, veerything could get mixed up, they could have a fight, etc. Monachies are used today, and are a great example of the word: organization. Having one person rule, gives a better chance for the city-state to be at its best. -

From 700 BCE - 650 BCE
This is the time period were most Greek city-states become oligarchies ruled by the wealthy wine and olive oil merchants and lanowners. Many farmers are sold into slavery. I believe this is an important event because it shows how people can take advantage of you, and that living in a tyranny is the wrong way to go. It is especially bad if the poor people in the city-state could live like this. -

Found the City of Rome; 753 BCE
There are many legends that tell how Rome was discovered in 753 BCE. The most famous one known today is basically about how when the settlements on the seven hills were united. The Seven Hills were filled with towns, which then eventually became one city. Legends say the Romulus founded Rome, who was a twin, and named Rome after the base of himself. This event is important because this is how Rome became to be today/ and started out. -

776, BCE; The Olympic Games
This is when the first Olympic Games had taken place. This event had taken place at the sanctuary of Zeus and repeated every four years for centeries. This event is important becuase this is where Olympia started. This was important becuase it formed a bond between the different types of people who practiced different cultures. These games had also gave a great environment for learning about nature. There were 40,000 men who competed in this event. Women were not allowed. -
Birth of Jesus Christ; 3 BCE
This is the known birth date of Jesus Christ. It is believe that he rose from the dead after being crucified. This event is important because he is an important god to many religions. -
Julius Caesar as Dictator; 49 BCE
Julius Caesar seizes complete control of Rome as a dictator. This is important becuase this is his beginning of his carrer as a dictator until his death in 44 BCE. -
Julius Caesar is Assassinated; 44 BCE
Julius Caesar is assassinated on the Ides Of March. He is killed by a group of senators, whom clearly did not like Caesar. Caesar was warned not to apear at the senate today on the Ides of March by his wife, but he did not listen. Caesar was one of the greatest and strongest leaders ever. This event is important because it shaped how Rome would turn out like how it is today. Without his death being so soon, Rome would be a different type of country. -
Roman Colosseum is built; 80
This is when the Roman Colosseum was built. This was built for Titus, Vaspasian. The type of structure it is happens to be called Amphitheater. This event is important becuase it was used for many things/events, and is an ancient monument. -
C. 380, BCE; Learning in Athens
Plato opens an academy called for learning in Athens calles: Planotic Academy. This happened during the Roman Era. This is where the Plato's philosophy was created. This was an exclusive school, for senoir memeber strating around ages 20s and up. The main studies were math and philosphy. This is important because it gives more of an oppertunitty for Athens to gain more intelligence. The people who have attended, have increased the polis's intelligence which has given us knowledge today. -
800 BCE, The Written Code of Laws for Athens
During this time period, Sparta develops the first written code of law to govern its military. I believe this event is important becuase when Sparta devlopes a written code of laws, this helps keep the things in order with the military. This is important today because, since we use laws, I believe that it will also help keep us in order as a society. -
BCE Solon is the sole ruler in Athens
This is when Solon is the new and sole ruler of Athens. This is important because as the line of rulers in Greece keeps going, the more poor people are aloud to vote. This event is important becuase it freed many people from slavery. This will continue on in our generation, and the following. As time goes on, our leaders become better to the citizens, and to the country.
