Charlemagne becomes King
Charlemagne and Carloman where the sons of King of Franks Pepin. Pepin was the beginner of the rule of the Carolingian Empire and the golden age of the Franks. The two sons of Pepin where left to take the spot of being the empire when he died, they obviously would have gone to war about this spot but Carloman also died leaving the spot of King to Charlemagne. -

First Crusade begins
The first crusades began when the Western Europe armies of Christians made a response to the Pop Urban II’s and ‘plea to go to war’ and fight against Muslim forces in the Holy Land. After they achieved their first goal, the capture of Jerusalem. Several Latin Christian states where made by the invading Christians. Even the Muslims that lived there vowed to the wage holy war, so they could get all control over the region. -

King john signed the Magna Carta
The Magna Carta is a document that was signed by King John that states he can’t just make rules that suit him and that nobody is above the law even the king. This then made it fair for everyone, because nobody held all power. There was no more rules that where only fair towards one person. -

Black death
The black death, was a disease brought to Europe from boats. The disease was carried by the rats on the ships. The diseased showed egg to apple sized black swellings. The swelling bleed and oozed pus, after a certain time boils of all sizes started showing over different parts of their bodies, and their bodies start internally bleeding. The effect of the disease was that 30 – 60 percent of the world’s population were killed (estimated 450 million). -

The Reconquista ends in Spain.
The Reconquista is wars and battles between the Cristian Kingdoms and the Muslim Moors that went for a long period of time. These wars where to fight for the control of the Iberian Peninsula. These wars lasted for a really long time in the middle ages from 718 to 1492.
