    Ronald Reagan served as the 40th president of the United States. During his presidency came the end of the Cold War as well as the wars with Iran and Iraq.
  • Mount Saint Helens erupts

    On May 18th, 1981 the great Mt. St. Helens volcano erupted. This volcano, located in Washington, is one of the largest volcanoes in the United States. Fifty Seven people lost their lives to this eruption.

    In 1983, the great company Nintendo released its first entertainment system. This system was a very small gaming controller that led to a revolution in video games since then.

    George H. W. Bush's presidency

    George W. Bush served as the 41st president of the United States. During his time as president, George Bush helped to reunite Germany after the Berlin Wall was torn down.
  • Berlin Wall Falls

    on November 9th, 1989 the Berlin Wall was torn down. This was a crucial time in history after many wars over communism. The Berlin Wall symbolized the end of the Iron Curtain which was the great communist Soviet Union.

    On April 4th, 1990, the Hubble Telescope was launched into orbit. This space telescope helped the United States gain a better understanding of space and the cosmos.

    The Cold War finally was brought to an end after years of great tensions between the United Stated and the Soviet Union. After the Berlin Wall was torn down, the USSR started to dismantle. This was the end to the Cold War
  • Oklahoma City Bombing

    The Oklahoma City Bombing was a domestic terrorist attack by an ex army soldier named Timothy McVeigh. This terrorist parked a van loaded with a large explosive near a federal building. The explosive killed 192 people and wounded hundreds more.
  • Lewinsky Scandal

    The Lewinsky Scandal was a presidential scandal between president Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. It came to the knowlege of the public that president Bill Clinton (age 49) had sexual relations with the political inter, Monica Lewinsky (age 22).
