The steam powered press allowed for millions of copies of paper to be made in a single day, allowing for spreading information quickly and the creation of textbooks. Access to materials as a result of this encouraged higher education. It also allowed schools to have different textbooks.

    Brown v. Board of Education
This ruling allowed for equal schooling for all, and over ruled separate but equal. Our school system now would not be where it was if we had not integrated the schools. Children now learn in a diverse environment and are taught by all ethnicities. It was an incredibly important moment in the civil rights movement and a huge impact on current school systems.

This allowed equality of the sexes. It forbid the discrimination of anyone based on their gender. This allowed for females and males to have equal access and ability to play sports as well as receive funding for college. Protecting against gender discrimination had a large impact on the subjects taught, the sports offered, and the ability of all sexes to achieve equality.

It is the basis that is still used with standardized testing.
