Start of the Industrial revolution
The Industrial revolution started at around 1760 and ended sometime between 1820 and 1840. Many new machines were invented in this time period to make our daily lives easier and changed them a lot. -

The first fleet in Botany Bay, Australia. The 11 ships entered the port carrying more than a 1,000 people that marked the begging of the British settlement in Australia. -

In 1800 the first electrical light was invented but was improved several times over the century. In 1910 William David Coolidge reinvented the bulb which was long lasting and revolutionized the world. -

In 1851 gold was discovered near Ballarat in Victoria, Australia. People were sailing from all over the world to find their fortunes in gold. Melbourne's population boosted rapidly which stimulated Melbourne's economy because of all the city now had. -
Invention of the telephone
In 1876 Alexander Graham Bell sucessfully tested his new telephone. It was an easy and very efficient way of communication than ever before. Bell's assistant Thomas Watson recieved the first complete sentance through the telephone saying "Watson, come here; I want you". -

The first modern olympics was held in Athens in 1896. It was very successful and that is why the olympics is still happening today. -
Federation of Australia
The Federation of Australia happened on new years day of 1901. Before this day, the six states of Australia were countries of their own. Now Australia is recognized as one by the rest of the world. -
First controlled powered flight
Brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright invent and produce the first controlled powered flight in history. The flight was only able to carry the pilot but made the Wright brothers very famous. -
Henry Ford automobile
Henry Ford produces his first Ford Model T automobile. Also know as the Tin Lizzie, the Ford model T was produced between October 1 1908 to May 27 1927 sellling very well as it was regarded to be the first affordable automobile. -
Titanic crashed
The Titanic was the largest ship to have ever been afloat at its time. The newly built british ship was on it's maiden voyage when it crashed into an iceberg and leading to 1,502 peoples deaths. -
End of world war 1
World war 1 was fought between the allied forces and Germany and Austria. It was a war that was meant to stop all wars but because Germany lost world war 2 occured. With many new advancements in weaponary in the time of world war 1, this led to many deaths.
