Reconstruction Era
I think it was a good thing for America during the reconstruction era. The South was in really bad
Shape, and the reconstruction shaped things up for the South. I think it was good that slavery was
Brought to an end. I never agreed with the idea of slavery. I felt bad that president Lincoln got
Assasinated, because he seemed like a great president. -
The Statue of Liberty
When I heard about the statue of liberty being put up in New York city,
I thought it was cool. I thought it took a lot of courage to put that statue
Up. I would be too scared to put that heavy statue together. I thought it was nice that France was helping the Americans put the statue together. Think the statue of Liberty has a great meaning to it. Russia has a statue called Mother Russia. The Statue of liberty is part o the reason why I moved to the U.S. -
The Titanic
Now that I am older and this event happened more recent I know a lot more About what happened. The Titanic sank in 1912. I felt horrible for those people Who were having a good time on that boat until it started to sink. I couldn't imagine how scared those people were. I don't like riding on boats because
I get sea sick. Some people managed to survive, but a very small amount survived. -
World War
In 1914 this very dangerous event began called World War one. I was scared Because Russia didn't have enough guns, weapons and equipment to do Well in the war. I remember we the citizens had to give the army food. I Wasn't too happy that when Russia invaded Germany, the Germans pushed
Russia back. I was about 64 years old when this happened so I had A good knowledge of what was going on. I was scared because our army was not Doing too well.
