The Cardinals Principles Report
This education document redeveloped the curriculum for public high school students. Instead of having the exact same curriculum year after year this document made it so education was broader than just arithmetic and reading. The focus was now on creating a well rounded student rather than just one ready to jump right in to the work force. -
Brown Vs. Board of education
The victory of Brown in this case broke down the Jim Crow laws and allowed for the desegregation of all public schools. This allowed for African Americans to finally have access to equal opportunities as the whites in their education. -
No Child Left Behind Act
This was a system put in place to insure that every student in the public education system was getting access to the same opportunities as their peers. Whether they be poor, a minority, or disabled. This also held teacher's more accountable for their students' performances in the classroom
