Erikson's 4th stage
When I was in elementary school, I joined many clubs at school to make my parents more proud and to have a better reputation with my teachers and other staff members at school. In Erikson's fourth stage; industry versus inferiority, children become more competent and want to prove their skills. They also seek for validation from those who influence them or those who are important and play a major role in their life. -
Erikson's 5th stage
In middle school and high school, I gained many new friends that would come and go while the others would stay. I also slowly started to discover who and what I wanted to become, until I began that journey to become that person. In Erikson's fifth stage; identity versus role confusion, teenagers explore their independence and sense of self. -
Erikson's 6th stage
Since I was 16 years old, I have been in a committed and long term relationship. Now that my partner and I are older and having spent 3 years as a couple, but 11 years as best friends, we are in a more stable and healthy state in our relationship. In Erikson's sixth stage; intimacy versus isolation, a person is more emotionally and physically close with another person in a committed relationship
