Events Leading to The American Revolution
The events leading to the American Revolution was a long lasting tragic event that accured. The war lasted 21 years! There was alot of events leading up to the American Revolution but I am just going to tell you about a few. -
Proclomation Act of 1763
King Gorge the Third prevented the Colonists from going west of the Apalation Moutains because it costed money to protect them from Indians. Also he didn't want another war to happen. The colonists didn't think the King could tell them where to go. -
Stamp Act.
The Stampt Act. was when the British taxed the colonists on all of thier paper items like newspapers or even playing cards shown in the picture. The paper was used alot then so with them having very little money was a big problem. Colonists thought the British had no right for them to do that. -
Quartering Act.
This was an event that King George the Third let the Brittish soilders live in the Colonists houses. The Colonists did not like that at all because they had to give them thier food.Also let them sleep in there beds which the Colonists had barley any food, so they went from having soup and bread to just having bread. -
Boston Massacure
The Boston Massacure was when the Quarting Act. was happening. So the Brittish soilders were then living in the colonists houses. The colonists got very angry and started calling them names.There were just a few soliders outside with the colonists. The colonists were throwing rocks and snowballs while the Brittish soilders had there muskets full and ready to fire. The general said "hold your fire!" but one of the soilders misheard them and fired. They killed 5 colonists and 6 were wonded. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea party all started when King George the Third made only one company sell tea. Colonist love there tea so some of the Colonists dressed up as Native Americans and threw 90,000 pounds of loose tea into the sea. King Georgre the Third figured out and shut down the Boston Habar and that was where a path in the Triangular Trade was. -
First Continental Congress
In the First Contiventral Congress the Delegates (repersentive) all got together to discuss how to settle the problems with the Brittish.
