Hudson was stopped by ice but instead of turning around he went looking for the western passage -

He landed on North America by going across the Atlantic Ocean -
Last Voyage
Hudson abords the ship Discovery and sets off once again to go to find the Northeast passage. -
Ice passage
Him and his crew got trapped in ice and ran low on supplies and food, but eventually got out -
The End
Shortly after they brake free from the ice, the crew takes over the ship and they sent Hudson, his son and some other crew members off on a small boat and let them go adrift in the ocean. They all parished in the sea
