    Helen Elizabeth earned a bachelors of science in english literature, a masters of arts in philosophy, and her doctorate of philosophy in 1973 from John Hopkins University. This trajectory of studies would prove critical in her studies and areas of emphasis in philosophy, sex, and the social constraints that shape accepted and expected structures within science theory and philosophy.

    Dr. Longino persisted into her field pursuing that theory within science is and can be stimulated (by purpose or by accident) by influences outside of the creative mind venturing in scientific methods and theories. She published 'Science in Social Knowledge in 1990 which exfoliated much about philosophy of science and equivocally as important, sourcing epistemic knowledge and the sourcing of experiential knowledge within gender and social bits should be further explored especially inside bias.

    Dr. Longino contributed heavily to a publishing called 'Scientific Pluralism', 2001, which is an immense amalgamation and unification of research case studies within cognitive, genetic, and social sciences. It helps paint just how complex and broad the parameters are regarding socio-economic, political, cognition, sex, among the many aspects that influence you and I, so do they influence science. Dr. Longino sought strengths and weakness in theories to bring more value to meaning of studies.

    Dr. Longino dedicated herself to bringing more perspective within philosophy. Publishing from her includes The Fate of Knowledge and Foreground in the Background and Studying Human Behavior. She postulates their is immense social foundation (support) and static (interference) within scientific knowledge and argues that scientific knowledge needs to be studied in its complex local contexts (4). Dr Longino currently works at Stanford University as Clarence Irving Lewis Professor of Philosophy
