Hatfield and McCoy Family Feud

    With West Virginia admittance to the union in 1863, Devil Anse realized that he and his family were in great danger and he formed the Logan Wildcats, one of the most feared guerrillas bands to patrol the Tug's banks. McCoy's and Hatfield's took turns as victim and attackers and the clans hostilities grew to increasingly dangerous new heights.
  • Floyd accused of theft

    Autumn 18798 Ole Ran'l stopped by to visit a Kentucky Hatfield, Floyd, and Ran'l spotted a familiar looking pig. He then accused Floyd of theft and the two faced off in court. The final verdict rested on the testimony of Bill Staton who swore to Floyd's ownership and Floyd won. Staton was then marked for death for giving the pig to Floyd by the McCoy's who were unhappy,
