Truman seizes control of the Steel Industry after quite the controversy. Only 43% of americans voted the action wrong, so two months later, it went to the Supreme Court. This ended in a 6 to 3 count, and Truman's seize of the Steel Industry was declared unconstitutional. -
Dwight D. Eisenhower is elected president, Truman leaves White House.
In 1952, Eisenhower ended the Democrat-streak by winning the 1952 election by a mile. This, obviously, led to Truman leaving office on January 20, 1953.
